35 teenagers reported on cell phones for Nazi videos and child pornography

An evaluation of the WhatsApp chats revealed the suspicion of re-activation and hate speech. Some of the teenagers may also have been involved in theft and drug trafficking.

The Upper Austrian police reported 35 young people, among other things, for violating the Prohibition Act, suspected pornographic depiction of minors and suspected hate speech. These are 14- to 17-year-olds from the districts of Perg, Urfahr and Linz-Land. A confiscated mobile phone of a 16-year-old had led to far-reaching investigations.

According to the police, a child porn image was initially discovered on the mobile phone. The subsequent evaluation of photos and videos of various WhatsApp chats of the teenager also revealed the suspicion of re-activation and incitement.
