The Antwerp police fined 35 people on Friday for not wearing a mask on public transport or at a stop. Because of the corona measures, wearing a mouth mask is mandatory, even at a bus or tram stop.

The police also arrested three people on Friday who were signaled with a prison warrant. One person appeared internationally. He tried to mislead the police with a forged identity card, but his ruse was seen through. The police took a DNA sample from another signaled person.
Several people were also found to have drugs in the immediate vicinity of children playing. Eleven people were fined, including for illegal dumping and spitting on public roads. “63 PVs were also drawn up for parking and traffic violations.”
Police also confiscated one uninsured moped. Another moped rider was fined for transporting his child on the moped between his legs. There were also two student drivers driving around with passengers and no visible ‘L’ and one driver tested positive for drugs in traffic.
