A case of Covid-19 was found at the Kids’ Holidays playground in Jette. Thirty-five children and monitors were therefore placed in quarantine. The alderman of Sports of the Brussels municipality, Benoit Gosselin, invited the parents of the young person with Covid to explain themselves. The information was given by BX1 on Tuesday and confirmed to Belga by the alderman himself.
Mr. Gosselin has sent a registered letter to the parents because he considers their attitude irresponsible. The parents were awaiting the results of a Covid test for their son, but still sent him to this playground on Monday. It was then found that the test was positive.
“The registered letter has been sent. Their behavior is irresponsible. We want to give them the opportunity to explain themselves. We expect a response by Friday 1:00 pm ”, commented the alderman.
The 35 children and monitors who were part of the infected child bubble must now self-quarantine. Kids’ Holidays, however, remains accessible for children from other groups.
