A new coronavirus infection (Corona 19) in Korea showed signs of re-proliferation, and on the 12th, New Year’s Day, there were confirmed cases across the country.

According to the quarantine authorities and local governments such as the Seoul Metropolitan Government, a total of 345 new confirmed cases were confirmed that were positive in the Corona 19 test from 0 o’clock to 9 p.m.

It is 34 fewer than the 379 total at the same time the day before.

The decrease in the number of confirmed interim counts on the previous day and this day compared to the last 10 days (446 persons) seems to reflect the effect of the decrease in the number of inspections during the Lunar New Year holiday.

In the area where confirmed cases were found, 259 (75.1%) in the metropolitan area and 86 (24.9%) in the non-metropolitan area.

By province, Seoul 131, Gyeonggi 96, Incheon 32, Busan 26, Chungnam 15, Daegu 11, Gyeongbuk, Jeonbuk, Chungbuk, 5 each, Daejeon, Gyeongnam, Jeju 4, Gwangju 3, Sejong 2 There is 1 person each, Ulsan and Gangwon.

Of the 17 trials nationwide, no confirmed cases have yet come out in Jeonnam.

As time remains until midnight when the count is closed, the number of new confirmed cases to be announced as of 0:00 on the 12th is expected to increase further, reaching the mid-to-late 300 range. If there are many, it can be up to 400 people.

The previous day, by midnight, it increased by 24 more and ended with 403.

The’third pandemic’, which started in earnest from mid-November last year, has entered a calming phase in the new year, but recently, the number of confirmed cases has increased again, showing an uneasy pattern. The number of new confirmed cases, which had fallen to the late 200 level, has soared to the early 500 level and has now dropped to 400.
