The next title of the Halo saga, called Halo Infinite, is expected to arrive in the holiday season this 2020, so fans expect a trailer or gameplay at E3 2020. Halo Infinite, it is speculated, will be available only for Xbox One X or for its recently announced Xbox Series X.

For this reason, 343 Industries has signed an agreement with Esports Engine to take over its entire esports program for Halo Infinite.

Esports Engine is a company created by the same group of co-founders of the Major League Gaming, which took over the competitive Halo during its early years. The Esports Engine project began in October with an investment fund of $ 60 million with Aadam Apicella at the head of the company.

Esports Engine and 343 plan to start the Halo Championship series with the launch of the new title in order to revive the competitive Halo scene, which at the time with Halo 3 became one of the largest in terms of console shooters.

In 2019 Dreamhack had a Halo 3 tournament in its Dallas edition with a prize of 20 thousand dollars. In the Anaheim Dreamhack a Halo Reach tournament will be held with a prize pool of $ 50 thousand dollars.
