A 34-year-old Ukrainian citizen from Linz was found to have committed eight thefts of high-priced perfumes from the end of July 2023 to October 22, 2023 in a total of three drugstore branches in the Linz city area. After an arrest order and a search warrant were obtained, crime clothing was found in the suspect’s apartment on October 25, 2023 and cannabis herb was seized. The 34-year-old was then arrested. He confessed, named his accomplices and stated his cocaine addiction as the motive. The accused was transferred to the Linz prison after consultation with the Linz public prosecutor, according to the police.
