Al Dhafra (WAM)
The conclusion of the Al Dhafra Festival witnessed wide participation in the Arabian Horse Racing Championship within the competitions and events accompanying the 16th session, which is organized by the Festivals Management Committee and Cultural and Heritage Programs in Abu Dhabi.
The championship recorded the participation of 34 competitors who competed in 3 rounds, “Al Dhafra main round, open round, and beginners round”, in Madinat Zayed Racecourse in Al Dhafra region.
The results of the Al Dhafra main race, 1700 meters, resulted in the victory of the “Western” horse by Saif Asheer Al Mazrouei in the first place, in the second place “Marawah Al Gharbia” by Obaid Ali Murshid Al Marar, and in the third place “Zeinhum” by Saif Asheer Al Mazrouei.
The results showed that in the 1400-meter open race, “Al-Ghazi” won by its owner, Ahmed Muhammad Fan Al-Muhairbi, won the first place, and “Pure Baynunah” by Suhail Ali Al-Mazrouei won the second place, and in the third place “AF Al-Ariq” by Saif Ashir Al-Mazrouei.
In the 1200-meter beginners run, the first place went to “Maymoon” by Saif bin Asheer Al Mazrouei, the second place went to “Ahazij” by Saif bin Asheer Al Mazrouei, and the third place went to the horse “Shamekh Al Thani” by Saif Muhammad Fan Al Muhairbi.
The Purebred Arabian Horse Racing Championship aims to support the owners of purebred Arabian horses and encourage them to expand breeding, production and acquisition of purebred breeds, and to promote, develop and develop heritage competitions and urge young generations to practice horse riding.
