AS Cannes (N3) created a surprise by qualifying Saturday night for the round of 16 at the expense of Dijon FCO (L2), on penalties (1-1 and 3 tab 2).
The Coupe de France rounds follow each other and are similar for AS Cannes. And above all, they are synonymous with qualification for the Azureans!
The exploits also follow the exploits: after Le Puy (N2) and Rodez (L2), the Cannois again thwarted logic by leaving Dijon FCO (L2), despite three divisions away, according to the same scenario: a victory in the penalty shootout, the third in a row.
Dijon however drew the first on a free kick from Mickaël Le Bihan (0-1, 46th) but the Cannes response came in the 73rd minute by Cédric Goncalves (1-1). In a shooting session with twists and turns, Florian Verplanck, the ASC goalkeeper, pulled out all the stops, stopping two Burgundian attempts and Stanislas Kielt freed the Pierre-de-Coubertin stadium at the end of the suspense (3 tab 2 ).
