LIVE lifestyle – Tangerang Regional General Hospital (RSUD) noted as many as 32 now born to a PLWHA or someone with HIV/AIDS. The births of these dozens of babies were recorded throughout 2022 and, according to test results, these dozens of babies tested negative for HIV/AIDS.
HIV consultant at Tangerang district hospital, dr. I Gede Raikosa said the success of the mother with HIV/AIDS, who gave birth to a child with a negative result, through a routine, thorough and careful process. Scroll for more information.
“A total of 32 babies were born to mothers with HIV/AIDS, all of whom also tested negative for HIV/AIDS after the mother underwent a series of routine treatments,” he said on Monday, December 5, 2022.
Raikosa explained, the mother with HIV/AIDS did various things treatment following the medication correctly, diligently and regularly while carrying the baby or before pregnancy.
“For example, the mother knows she is exposed, so she has to take routine medications, to be able to control this virus. However, if you know she was infected during the first week hamilOf course, we can also control it with medication so the baby isn’t exposed,” she said.
But, if HIV disease is known during pregnancy, Raikosa said there is a certain time, which is at least less than 14 weeks.
