Responding to the call of the project “Library”, Latvian librarians have been actively involved in the reading promotion campaign, recommending, in their opinion, the most relevant and valuable books for different age groups, the project coordinator and content creator Daiga Katrīna Bitēna informed in a press release.

The lists were compiled by dozens of public library employees throughout Latvia. Represented libraries from Riga, Jelgava, Rezekne, Jekabpils, Tukums, Ogre, Preili, Ikšķile, Līvāni, Smiltene, Pļaviņas, Bauska, Balvi, Ludza, Gulbene, Leimaņi, Aloja, Sauka, Engure, Galņciems, Lēdurne, Jaunkalne, , Jaunlaicene, Variņi, Naukšēni and Sabiles. The most active librarians have been in Ventspils city and region – they have been represented by four libraries.
