Jakarta (ANTARA) – Extraordinary events (KLB) of measles in Indonesia were reported from 31 provinces in Indonesia until December 2022 with patients of almost all ages, said Head of the Communications and Public Services Bureau of the Ministry of Health Dr. Siti Nadia Tarmizi confirmed in Jakarta, Thursday.

He said the measles cases reported by regions to the Ministry of Health amounted to 3,341 cases from 223 districts/cities. The current cases have increased by 32 times because the coverage of measles immunization during the 2020-2022 period did not meet the target.
