The L’Islet MRC Health Services Foundation, in collaboration with Promutuel Assurance Côte-Sud, is proud to announce that its 21st benefit golf tournament has reached its financial objectives. This event was held on August 19 at the Saint-Pamphile Golf Club, where nearly 110 players took the tee time.
The activity raised $30,000. This amount will be used to purchase various equipment for health care facilities, namely the CHSLDs and CLSCs of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and the CLSC of Saint-Pamphile. These devices consist of a cardiac defibrillator, a vital signs monitor, a vein viewer, eight blood pressure monitors and an electrosurgery device.
The Foundation took advantage of the event to highlight the social and volunteer involvement of the two “Coup de cœur Personalities” in the person of Ms. Réjane Saint-Amant and Mr. Clément Fortin of Saint-Omer in their municipality, as well as in L’Islet-Sud.
The Health Services Foundation has invested, over the past twenty-one years, more than half a million dollars in equipment and the well-being of health and social services for the population of the MRC of L’Islet. (LOB)
