A missing 14-year-old from Gottenheim in Baden-Württemberg is dead. On Friday, a dead person was found in the Hessian Wetteraukreis – the forensic examination showed that it was the 14-year-old, the police said on Saturday evening in Freiburg. The Wetterau district is around 300 kilometers away from the girl’s parents’ house.
Since July 21, the police had been looking for the 14-year-old at high pressure. The teenager left her parents’ house in Gottenheim around 6 p.m. and has been missing ever since. Police officers had also tried to find the young people with dogs and supported by a police helicopter.
Police did not release any further details about the case on Saturday night. Questions relating to the investigation will be answered at a press conference on Monday, it said.
