WASHINGTON DC, KOMPAS.TV – Operation of the Hubble Space Telescope has been experiencing problems for the past few days.
Launching AFP, the United States Space Agency (NASA) explained that this was due to a malfunction in the payload computer which stopped operating last Sunday (13/6/2021).
Even so, NASA stressed, the telescope that has been observing the universe for more than 30 years is still in good condition, including other scientific instruments.
“The purpose of the payload computer is to control and coordinate science instruments, and monitor them for health and safety,” NASA said Friday (6/18/2021).

Previously, on Monday (14/6/2021), an attempt to reload or restart The payload computer on the Hubble telescope was attempted, but failed.
According to the results of the identification, NASA said, preliminary evidence suggests that the decline in the performance of the computer’s memory modules is the source of the problem.
