The murdered woman is said to have been visiting an acquaintance at the hospital when she was going out to collect something in a car. She never came back again. A relative who was with the woman on the hospital visit reported the matter to the police.
The police received the report at 9.49pm on Monday evening. The content of the message meant that they moved out with more patrols and began searching for the woman. They suspected deprivation of liberty and tried to probe her phone.
A few hours later, at around 01:20, a suspicious car was found close to the hospital. In the car, the police found the woman killed by gunshots. They also found a man badly injured with gunshot wounds.
The 32-year-old man is now charged with murder and the police believe they have found the murder weapon in the car. The two were lovers for three to four months a little over a year ago and the man had a restraining order imposed on the woman who has been killed.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was flown to Oslo University Hospital for treatment. He had extensive injuries and could not be contacted by the police.

“A Forewarned Murder”
The family of the deceased is strongly against the police’s follow-up of the case.
Legal aid Pirashanthy Sivabalachandran writes in a statement to the media that the family is disappointed with the police.
– The family expresses deep disappointment at the follow-up the deceased received from the police from the first report against the accused, which was submitted in April, until the night’s tragic outcome. A number of reports have been submitted about a number of serious matters, writes the public assistance lawyer.
She says the murdered woman lived in constant fear of the accused.
– The murder cannot therefore be described as anything other than a premeditated murder, says the family through the legal aid lawyer.
Residential addresses in Oslo
Both the woman and the man have residential addresses in Oslo, and the restraining order against the man came from the Oslo police district.
– We have had a dialogue with the relatives throughout the night and looked after them as best we can in this difficult situation, says police inspector Henning Klauseie in the Innlandet police district.
It is not yet known whether the woman had a violence alarm.
The man’s defender, Tore Famestad, has not spoken to his client.
– He is still being treated and cannot be contacted, says Famestad to Aftenposten.
The police say they have had contact with witnesses, but are appealing for more witnesses who may have seen some movements or heard something they have reacted to in the period between 9.30pm and 01.30am on Tuesday night.
The police have started work to retrieve video surveillance from cameras in Elverum.

Newspaper: Breached the restraining order several times
According to VG, the man has also previously broken the restraining order against his ex-girlfriend several times. In June last year, he is said to have received a summons for three violations. He is said to have nevertheless sought out her car and attached tracking devices to it four times.
The man’s defender tells Aftenposten that he is not aware of this beyond information through the press. He was appointed as a defender on Tuesday, but has not defended the man in previous cases.
