A 30-year-old driver came off the road shortly after 11 p.m. on the district road over the Tuniberg between Freiburg and Merdingen on Saturday and was seriously injured.
According to information from the police, the vehicle came from the direction of Wippertskirch, came off the road on a slope in a right-hand bend near the Klffler chapel, probably due to increased speed, and bumped into a tree head-on. The seriously injured was brought to the university clinic by helicopter. In addition to the police, the fire departments in Merdingen and Ihringen and the DRK Merdingen were also deployed.
