A 30-year-old man died after being hit by a convoy Wednesday morning near Ermesinde (Valongo) station, PSP and fire sources said.
None of the sources anticipated the circumstances, but the Ermesinde Fire Department said a first assessment points to an accident.
“Only the autopsy can then determine the causes,” said a police source.
The accident occurred at around 1.30 pm, towards Porto-Braga, north of Ermesinde station, where the Douro and Minho lines converge.
When relief workers arrived at the scene, the source said, the man, residing in São Mamede do Coronado, Trofa, was still alive, but the resuscitation maneuvers were unsuccessful and the death was declared on site by the Medical Vehicle team. of Resuscitation (VMER) of the Hospital de Matosinhos.
