Today, Wednesday, the Health and Population Directorate in the New Valley Governorate announced its readiness to implement the presidential initiative to take care of the health of the mother and the fetus.
Dr. Ahmed Mahrous, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the New Valley, said in a statement that 30 health units, medical centers and a health office have been equipped with all health departments at the level of the five centers of the governorate, in which all presidential initiatives are implemented in the form of merging initiatives (women’s health , Hearing scanning, and chronic diseases) to work as one team in preparation for the launch of the initiative during the next few period, in addition to the completion of the implementation of a number of training courses for nursing teams on the work of the presidential initiative and the provision of health services within the medical protocol of the initiative, which comes within the group of presidential initiatives 100 million health .
He explained that the initiative aims to examine pregnant women from a number of diseases, and to make physical measurements of weight and height and measure blood sugar levels, to prevent the transmission of diseases from mother to fetus.
