30 classrooms to support inclusive education were opened in Akmola region

Thirty offices to support inclusive education were opened this year in the Akmola region, a 24KZ correspondent reports. They are designed for children with special educational needs. Almost 12 thousand such children live in the region. There are now more than 70 inclusion rooms in the region.

A new office for supporting inclusive education at school No. 5 in the city of Atbasar opened recently. It is already attended by 26 children with special educational needs. The necessary conditions for comfortable and effective learning have been created here for them,” says educational psychologist Alina Dimke.

Alina Dimke, educational psychologist:

– This office reveals the development potential of children in an in-depth format. We work individually with each child. Some people develop a talent for artistic work, others for performing, singing, and so on.

Similar classrooms are also appearing in rural schools. An inclusion support office recently opened in the village of Akkol, Zerenda district. Here, special teachers work with 12 children under the leadership of Aisulu Samuratova.

Aisulu Samuratova, curator of the inclusion support office:

– Our office consists of four functional zones: zones for individual work with students, zones for group classes, sensory relief zones for children’s relaxation, and a workplace for the teacher.

In recent years, the network of inclusive education classrooms in the region has been significantly expanded, the education department notes. New jobs have been created for more than 300 teachers.

Asemgul Suleimenova, head of department of the regional Department of Education:

– Since 2020, work has begun in the Akmola region to open offices to support inclusion. A plan has been developed, and during this time we have already opened 75 such offices that serve one and a half thousand children.

By the end of the year, six more inclusion support rooms will be opened in the region. In the next five years, it is planned to create up to 30 such classrooms annually.
