Jakarta –
Former Minister of BUMN Dahlan Iskan said, there are about 30 BUMNs that have ‘died’, however BUMN it cannot be closed or ‘buried’. BUMN is like PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero) and Perum Perusahaan Film Negara (PFN).
“In my opinion, at least there are 30 BUMNs that have actually died but their bodies have not been buried,” he said in an online discussion, Monday (28/9/2020).
He said that 30 BUMNs had actually died but were difficult to bury. This is because there are political and legal obstacles.
So, when he became minister, he had an idea where the BUMNs that had died would be transferred to PT Asset Management Company (Persero) or PPA as a subsidiary.
“What PPA’s job is, usually PPA’s task is to revitalize, restructure all kinds of things. But at that time I told them its special task to bury it. Because if its status has changed from BUMN to subsidiary, the liquidation process should be easier. This means ensuring that the subsidiary has sufficient GMS at PPA, “he explained.
Even so, until his term of office this has not been accomplished. According to Dahlan, what he called the ‘corpse’ was still haunting.
“But this also takes a long time to end so the minister has not been implemented. So apparently this corpse continues to roam,” he said.
