3 years ago, that is, before the Beirut explosion, Lilian was a person pulsing with joy and life, but the treachery of the explosion broke her and robbed her of her movement and vitality. A year after her travel to Turkey, Lilian began writing a new chapter of her life, pending chapters that continued to draw other endings for her, including her pending motherhood as well, but above all she wanted to regain her strength and movement before thinking about her second struggle.

Her sister Nawal confirmed in her interview with “An-Nahar” that “Lillian is showing great and clear improvement and has undergone several surgeries on her feet, and she still needs other surgeries. As a result, she began taking small steps with the help of the medical team and undergoing sensory-motor speech therapy. Thanks to her, she began to speak a little.” Words for her, her family, and her lovers are equal to the entire language.”

Her first words were “Mama,” a call for help that she made with her lips and heart to express her need for her mother. Her accompanying phrase was “I love you.” This is how Lillian wanted the beginning to be the same as her first beginning, the day she emerged from her mother’s womb into this life, and in her new birth, the beginning was with her mother as well, as nothing compares to a mother’s tenderness.

Lillian carries her disappointment, her inner brokenness, and her dreams wherever she goes. It is difficult for her to face her physical and psychological losses all at once, and her greatest loss continues to burn her heart with her pending motherhood, as she only got to see her son once in her eyes. She is still, as her sister Nawal confirms, “deprived of seeing him,” even in the video. She doesn’t ask for much, but the excuses remain packed and ready for every attempt.

However, Lillian fights to get her life back. Anyone who has been patient for 3 years will not give up today. Lillian has a good distance to go and another year in Turkey to continue her intensive treatment until she is able to walk on her own, according to what the doctor following up on her condition confirmed to her sister Nawal.

From Lebanon to Turkey, Lillian continues her health battle.
