A little boy has become a real hero in Brazil, since his mother posted a video showing him saving his friend’s life.
3-year-old Arthur rescues his friend Henrique, the same age, from drowning, Brazilian media reports SF News. The two were alone by the pool at little Arthur’s home, located in Itaperuna, Brazil. To catch a buoy that was floating in the water, Henrique leaned over a little too far and fell. It sank steeply.
On the sequence filmed at the beginning of August by a home surveillance camera, we can see that the child is in difficulty, his head submerged, and that he does not manage to rise to the surface. But the drama was avoided thanks to Arthur’s intervention. Equipped with his armbands, the boy spared no effort to help his friend. Within seconds, he pulled Henrique out of the water, saving his life.
Arthur’s mother, Poliana Console de Oliveira, posted the video to Facebook. In the accompanying message, she explains that the accident happened because of thirty seconds of inattention. She also wishes to warn pool owners who have children.
Even the police paid tribute to his courageous and efficient action by visiting him. They offered him a diploma and sweets to reward him.
When his mother asked him why he hadn’t raised the alert instead of intervening himself, he replied that his boyfriend would have died if he hadn’t acted right away.
