3 words spoken by Mbappe after France failed to win the 2022 World Cup

Jakarta, CNNI Indonesia

French striker Kylian Mbappe uploaded a short message of encouragement after failing to become a champion World Cup 2022.

Les Bleus have to accept the fact that they failed to defend the title they won four years ago. France, who resisted hard, were defeated 2-4 (3-3) on penalties by Argentina at the Lusail stadium on Sunday (18/12).

The defeat was clearly depressing for Mbappe. The 23-year-old even looked lethargic after the game despite him giving everything on the pitch.

However, it seems Mbappe doesn’t want to drag himself through the pain. The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star also showed it through short words on his Twitter account.

“We’ll be back,” Mbappe wrote, accompanied by a photo of him holding the Golden Boot and the 2022 World Cup trophy in the background.

Mbappé looked truly extraordinary in this match. He scored three goals, namely a hat-trick against Argentina, escorted by Emiliano Martinez.

Mbappe’s three goals forced Argentina to fight to penalties to secure their third world title in history.

This rare achievement meant Mbappe equaled England legend Geoff Hurst’s mark as the player to score three goals in the World Cup final.

Mbappé also picked up a consolation prize at the 2022 World Cup. The former AS Monaco player has the right to be the top scorer at the 2022 World Cup with nine goals scored during the tournament.
