3 Wonderkids Called by STY to the Indonesian National Team

Shin Tae Yong called up some young players with promising quality to Indonesian National team for FIFA Match Day. Here are three wonderkid called Shin Tae Yong.

PSSI has released a list of 27 names of Indonesian national team players who are prepared to face Timor Leste during FIFA Match Day. The Garuda team is planned to meet Timor Leste twice at the end of January at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Bali.

Shin Tae Yong again called many young players in the list of players this time. The South Korean coach continued the policy that had been carried out since the beginning of dealing with the Indonesian national team.

Of the 27 players who were called up, only one player over the age of 30 was called up by Shin Tae Yong. The only player is Madura United defender, Fachruddin Aryanto.

Shin Tae Yong also provided a chance for some new faces. One of them is Achmad Figo, a 20-year-old player who strengthens Arema FC.

Marcelino Ferdinand

This young Persebaya Surabaya player has caught the public’s attention the most in recent times. Marselino continues to be the talk of the town along with his slick performance with the Bajul Ijo team.

Marselino is only 17. But now he has become part of the Persebaya core squad, which coach Aji Santoso has designed.

Ferdinand is Aji’s first choice thanks to his good performance in Liga 1 2021. The Persebaya coach has scored 4 goals and provided five assists.

Ferdinand’s performance has continued to climb since week 15 of Liga 1. He has always scored or provided assists in Persebaya’s last five matches.
