Daily intake of vitamin C is essential for good health because the body neither produces nor stores it. Not to worry, vitamin C is in so many foods that most people don’t need to take vitamin C supplements. But in some cases doctors often recommend taking it.

Vitamin E

It is a powerful antioxidant that helps the body fight infection. Foods rich in vitamin E include nuts, seeds and spinach.

Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 is essential for supporting biochemical reactions in the immune system. Foods rich in vitamin B6 are chicken and fish such as salmon and tuna. Vitamin B6 is also found in green vegetables and chickpeas, which are the main ingredients of hummus.
