3 unsuccessful attempts, NASA rocket with mission to the moon is retested

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA – The United States Aeronautics and Space Administration, NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) seeks to retest the rocket Artemis 1 who will go to the moon after failing to refuel at several dress rehearsals they have held since April 1, 2022. In the dress rehearsal, Artemis 1 conducted an experiment called Wet Dress Rehearsal.

Called Wet Dress Rehearsal because the experiment consisted of refueling stages of hydrogen and liquid oxygen into a rocket. After the filling process is complete, the rocket will begin to fly.

The problem in that experiment, Artemis 1 failed to refuel. They then tried again on April 12, 2022 and April 14, 2022. So a total of three times Artemis 1 failed.

Failure after failure to refuel at various dress rehearsals forced Artemis 1 to try to analyze the causes of the difficulties. The rocket was then brought back to the Vehicle Assembly Building belonging to NASA which is at the Kennedy Space Center.

At the center of the rocket’s production, Artemis 1 will be re-examined. It is planned that the rocket will get a valve change and try to find the center of the leak that causes the refueling process to always fail.

“As the process progresses, we will review dress rehearsal schedules and other options for demonstrating refueling,” NASA wrote in a statement.

It is planned that NASA will provide an official statement regarding the condition on April 18, 2022, United States time. NASA will use that moment to explain in more detail the difficulties experienced by Artemis 1.
