JAKARTA, RADARKAUR.CO.ID – The Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources has become a new rule for fuel circulating in Indonesia.

According to the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number 245.K/MG.01/MEM.M/2022 that as of January 1, 2023, 3 types of BBM are banned in Indonesia.

The three types of banned fuel contain octane levels below RON 90.

Provisions for fuel that can circulate in Indonesia with a minimum content of RON 90 as established in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Number: 37.K/HK.02/MEM.M/2022 concerning the Types of Fuel Oil for Special Tasks.

With a Ministerial Decree, the Government has made changes to the type of fuel allocation. Initially, RON 88 fuel was changed to RON 90 fuel as a special allocation fuel type (JBKP).

The 3 types of fuel with octane levels below RON 90 still circulating in Indonesia are RON 87 fuel, RON 88 fuel and RON 89 fuel.
