TANGERANG SOUTH, KOMPAS.com – Three suspected perpetrators shooting at seven locations in the region Tangerang South arrested by the police on Monday (10/8/2020).

Kasatreskrim Polres South Tangerang Muharam Wibisono said the three perpetrators were arrested in several different locations in the Kebon Nanas area, Tangerang City.

“We secure three people. Some are in one of the apartments, some are at home. But we are still developing. We will inform you more later,” he said, Monday (10/9/2020) night.

According to Muharam, from the arrest, his party secured a number of evidences in the form of weapons used by the perpetrators.

However, he has not explained in more detail the relationship between the three perpetrators and the mysterious shooting incident that occurred in South Tangerang in the last few weeks.

“We secure the evidence of the weapons used. We are still developing, later further information will be shared,” he said.

Recently, a series of random shootings occurred against motorists in the South Tangerang area.

South Tangerang Police Chief AKBP Iman Setiawan said his party had received reports of a number of shootings. At least seven cases of shootings on the highway in the South Tangerang area have been reported by the victims in the last few weeks.

According to him, the victims were suspected of being hit by an unknown source of bullets while riding motorbikes in the area Serpong.

“The events vary, both the date, time and place,” he said.

One of the shooting incidents occurred in the area of ​​Jalan Raya Serpong, North Serpong, South Tangerang on July 19 in the morning, or at 00.30 WIB.

The victim was a student named Wilibrodus Ode (25) who was riding a motorcycle at the time of the incident.

A similar incident had previously occurred in the Alam Sutera area, Serpong, South Tangerang, on June 28, 2020 at around 01.00 WIB.

The victim is a mini market employee. He was shot in the back while being ridden on a motorcycle by his partner.

As a result of the incident, the two victims suffered gunshot wounds to their right back and were taken to the hospital.
