Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – Examination of witnesses in the corruption case of PT Asabri (Persero) continues. This time, the Attorney General’s Office summoned three witnesses from securities companies related to cases of alleged corruption in financial management and investment funds by Asabri in several companies for the period 2012 to 2019.
The three witnesses examined by the Investigating Prosecutor’s Team at the Directorate of Investigations of the Deputy Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) of the Attorney General’s Office, among others, SM as President Director of PT MNC Sekuritas, LS as Director of PT Yuanta Sekuritas,.
Furthermore, AK as the Director of Erdhika Elite Sekuritas, was questioned regarding the investigation of 10 Investment Managers (MI) suspects.
“The examination of witnesses was carried out to provide information for the purpose of investigating a criminal case which he himself heard, saw and experienced himself in order to find legal facts about the corruption that occurred at PT Asabri,” said the Head of the Attorney General’s Legal Information Center, Leonard Eben Ezer Simanjuntak, in a press statement, Friday (10/9/2021).
As is known, the Adhyaksa Corps recently named one new suspect, namely the President Director of PT Rimo International Lestari, Teddy Tjokrosaputri in the Rasuah case which caused a state financial loss of Rp 22.78 trillion.
Thus, the Attorney General’s Office has named 10 suspects in this case. Apart from Teddy Tjokro, other names are Major General Purn Adam Rachmat Damiri (ARD) as President Director of Asabri for the period 2011-2016, Lt. Gen. Retired Sonny Widjaja (SW) as President Director of Asabri for the period 2016-2020, and Bachtiar Effendi (BE) as Head of the Finance Division. and Investment Asabri for the period 2012-2015. Others are Hari Setianto (HS), Asabri’s Director of Investment and Finance for the 2013-2019 period.
Furthermore, Ilham W Siregar (IWS), Head of the Investment Division of Asabri for the period 2012-2017, Lukman Purnomosidi (LP), President Director of PT Prima Network & President Director of PT Eureka Prima Jakarta Tbk (LCGP), Heru Hidayat (HH) President of PT Trada Alam Minera Tbk (TRAM), Benny Tjokrosaputro (BTS) or Bentjok as Commissioner of PT Hanson International Tbk (MYRX) and Jimmy Sutopo (JS), Director of PT Jakarta Issuer Investor Relationship.
To note, Benny Tjokro and Heru Hidayat were previously named defendants in the PT Asuransi Jiwasraya (Persero) case and received a maximum criminal sentence, namely life imprisonment and the obligation to return losses to the state.
