Two foreign oil and gas companies signed a work area cooperation contract (WK) phase II 2021 with the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The two winners of the auction are the British oil and gas giant British Petroleum and its subsidiary Petronas PC North Ketapang SDN. BHD.
The contract signed at the ESDM building covers three working areas, namely Agung I, Agung II, and North Ketapang. The total work commitment must have reached US$ 12,140,000 or Rp 179.6 billion (exchange rate of Rp 14,800).
The signing ceremony was attended by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Arifin Tasrif, Director General of Oil and Gas at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Tutuka Ariadji, Head of SKK Migas Dwi Soetjipto and the winning bidder for the cooperation contractor (KKKS).
“The production-sharing contract for WK Agung 1 is located off the coast of Bali and East Java with Contractor BP Agung 1 Limited with a definite commitment to exploration, namely geological geosic (G&G) study and 2-dimensional seismic 2,000 sq km with a total budget of US$ 2.5 million,” said the Directorate General of Oil and Gas ESDM Tutuka Ariadji.
The details are for the G&G Study budget of US$ 500,000 and 2D Seismic 2,000 sq km of US$ 2,000,000. BP Agung Limited I also gave a signature bonus of US$ 100,000
Then, Agung II’s working area with KKKS BP Agung II Limited has a definite total commitment of US$ 1,500,000. The details are the G&G Study with a budget of US$ 500,000 and a 2D seismic budget of 2,000 sq km of US$ 1,000,000. The signature bonus is US $ 100,000
Meanwhile, the working area of North Ketapang with KKKS PC North Ketapang SDN. BHD. have a definite commitment of US$ 8,140,000. The details are the G&G Study of US$ 1,000,000 and the Multiclient uplift fee for 3D seismic data of 262 sq km of US$ 750,000.
The biggest budget is for 3D Seismic 300 sq km with a total of US$ 6.39 million. The signature bonus of US $ 500,000.
For information, the North Ketapang area itself covers the area around East Java. Agung I is in Bali and East Java, while Agung II is located in Sulawesi, NTB and East Java.
