3 radar cars arrive in Côte-d’Or

The prefecture of Côte-d’Or announces the commissioning on March 15 of 3 radar cars on the roads of the department.

The prefect of the Burgundy-Franche-Comté region and prefect of the Côte-d’Or Fabien Sudry set the next Tuesday, March 15 as the date of commissioning of the 3 radar cars which will criss-cross the roads of the Côte-d’Or department. A total of 19 radar cars will be deployed on the roads of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté.

The routes and time slots for the control of these radar cars will be set by the State services, on the roads where there are the most accidents. They will control the vehicles they pass and those that overtake them.

To reassure you, service providers are not compensated for the number of infringements detected. In fact, the driver of the radar car does not have a view of the speeding detection data.

Similarly, the company holding the contract can neither access the verbalization snapshots nor know the number of infringements recorded by means of the vehicles for which it is responsible during their operational activity.

Once flashed, what happens?

The data recorded by the radar cars are sent in encrypted form to the judicial police officers in charge of issuing the report. These judicial police officers, who note and validate the offence, are the same as for the fixed speed cameras and the radar cars. still piloted by the police: these are the police and gendarmes of the Automated Center for the Recognition of Traffic Offenses (CACIR) within the National Processing Center (CNT) located in Rennes.
