3 players representing the chess team in the Saudi Championship

Our national team is participating in the activities of the chess tournament hosted by the Saudi capital, Riyadh, in the “Riyadh City Boulevard” area, as part of the “Riyadh Calendar” 2023 competitions. For the tournament, international professor Imran Al Hosani and player Rawda Al Serkal.
The delegation of our national team is headed by Dr. Saif Salem Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the UAE Chess Federation, and Mahdi Abdel Rahim, Advisor to the Referees Committee in the International Federation and Chairman of the Asian Referees, holds the position of Chief Referee in the tournament.
The tournament is considered the highest in the Arab world in terms of financial prizes, as the first place winner is crowned with 300 thousand riyals, the second place winner receives 200 thousand riyals and the third 100 thousand riyals, in addition to other financial prizes for the winners up to the tenth place.
The tournament is held according to the Swiss system, consisting of 9 rounds, with a time of 15 minutes + 10 seconds, with each move for each player.
Participation in foreign tournaments comes in line with the directions of the Emirates Football Association, to enhance the technical and mental capabilities of male and female players, through contact with the best elements from Arab countries.
