The central government has again corrected today the data of coronavirus cases confirmed by PCR test in Galicia, raising it to 9,108 total cases after 3 new positives confirmed today. Yesterday no new cases had been reported by PCR and the figure had been lowered from 9,105 to 9,079, and today this is “uncorrected”, adding the three new cases to the 9,105 that had been reported the day before yesterday, to make the new updated total of 9,108. No explanation has been given for this. In the morning the Sergas reported 4 new positives in all the tests, increasing its total to 11,208 coronavirus patients in Galicia since the start of the pandemic.
What the central government has not corrected is the death toll in the community, which yesterday dropped from 614 to 607, and today it remains at this figure. The Xunta de Galicia continues to count 614 deaths from the epidemic in the territory. Regardless of the account that is made and who is right, It seems that the pandemic is going forward in leaps and bounds in Galicia.
In the calculation of all Spain, 194 cases of coronavirus have been reported confirmed by PCR test, increasing them to a total of 236,259 people, a count that is higher by 859 people to yesterday because there have also been corrections in the totals of other autonomies. There is no official information on the sum of the PCR tests and the antibody tests, estimated to be over 280,000.
The death toll has been corrected upward again after subtracting more than 1,900 yesterday, and now has gone from 26,834 yesterday to 27,117 today, a sum of 283 more deaths, of which only 35 new ones belong today. Of these 35 deaths reported today, 9 correspond to Catalonia, 8 to La Rioja, 6 to Madrid, 4 to Castilla y León, 2 to Castilla La Mancha, 2 to Valencia, 1 to Galicia and another to Murcia.
