The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) announced that Gözde Öztürk, Dilek Mucuk and Ahsen Baş, athletes of the Rasus Kimya Hatay Volleyball Team competing in the Women’s 2nd League, died in earthquakes affecting 10 provinces in Kahramanmaraş.
In the statement made by TVF, “We have learned with deep sadness that Rasus Kimya Hatay Volleyball Team athletes Gözde Öztürk, Dilek Mucuk and Ahsen Baş passed away in the earthquake disaster. May God have mercy on our athletes and all our citizens who lost their lives; Our condolences to their families and our nation, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured. Condolences to our community”.
It was previously announced that athlete Ceren Akman and youth athlete Elçin Çınar lost their lives. (AA)
