Secretary General of the National Union of Activists (PENA) 98 Adian Napitupulu confused by the current political situation. He said that there were three ministers who spoke about extending the term of office of the president and Jokowi should not be the one being demonstrated.
“It’s not Jokowi who is talking about extending the presidential term, but there are three ministers. Then why was Jokowi protesting, not the ministers?” said Adian Napitupulu in his statement, Friday (8/4/2022).
“There were three party leaders who talked about extending the presidential term but, again, why was Jokowi protesting not the three parties? The one talking about the 3rd term president was one of the pollsters and one of the party cadres, but why was Jokowi demoed, not the survey agency? or the party office?” he added.
According to the PDIP politician, to realize the extension or change from two to three periods, the authority lies with the DPR RI, not at the Presidential Palace. This confused Adi.
“The one who says he is not interested in 3 terms is Jokowi. The one who says that those who want 3 terms are the people who are also looking for Jokowi’s face. Jokowi’s term of office is also strange. But why is it strange that Jokowi is the one being protested?” he said.
If you ask why Jokowi’s demonstration, according to Adian, will enter the debate room with arguments that are not far from assuming Jokowi’s feelings about the allegation that all statements by the ministers and general chairmen of the party came from Jokowi’s wishes.
“The discourse on the extension and the three periods has made many people nervous, and they are busy analyzing Jokowi’s feelings and desires. Because they analyze the feeling of not having a measuring tool, some students are said to be planning a massive demonstration at the Palace on April 11,” said Adian.
In the current situation, Adian questioned where were the ministers and party leaders who threw the discourse on extending Jokowi’s term. According to Adian, all of a sudden everyone became silent and seemed to let Jokowi bear the consequences of all the impacts of the ideas and discourses they threw out.
