The second half began like the first – with Bielefeld in possession. Isaiah Young had a shot on goal in the 49th minute, but was under so much pressure that he was unable to pose any problems for Vollath.
Many Bielefeld chances within a few minutes
Otherwise, not much happened in the second half. With just under 20 minutes to go, Arminia picked up the pace again, and in the 69th minute Vollath was called upon again when Marius Wörl had a free shot from a tight angle. The keeper was there, just as he was against a free kick from Stefano Russo a minute later (70th). Four minutes later, Christopher Lannert narrowly missed the goal (74th). A minute later, substitute Kaito Mizuta narrowly missed the ball at the far post (75th).
1860 then managed to free themselves from the pressure from Bielefeld. But the Lions themselves were not dangerous. So it all ended after a goalless draw.
But then Jacobsen. After a Bielefeld pass went wrong in midfield, the Munich player took the ball directly from his own half and scored over the advancing Jonas Kersken in the Bielefeld goal to give Munich the win – a spectacular goal. Bielefeld pushed for an equalizer in injury time, but couldn’t get through.
