3 killed in Russian missile airstrike

Ukraine Air Raid Alert… “Power Outages in Neighboring Moldova”

The Associated Press, AFP and Reuters news reports that Russia launched rocket attacks on the capital Kyiu and other areas of Ukraine on the 23rd (local time).

Kyiv Governor Oleksi Kuleva said on Telegram that Russia attacked critical infrastructure, cutting off electricity and water supplies across Kieu.

There were also casualties.

At least three people were killed and six injured when a two-story house was destroyed in Kieu.

“The enemy (Russia) is launching a missile attack on key infrastructure in Kiiu,” Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said in a statement.

Ukraine’s state-owned Energoatom said it shut down several reactors at its nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine following Russian airstrikes.

At the same time, the operation of the Khmelnytsky nuclear power plant in the west was reportedly suspended.

The reactor shutdown cut off electricity, water and heating supplies in many parts of Ukraine, including Kiiu.

During the massive power outage in Ukraine, there was a power outage in almost half of the country in Moldova, which shares the border with Ukraine.

An air attack warning has been issued across Ukraine as Russia carried out missile strikes on different parts of Ukraine on the same day.

Russia, which suffered the humiliation of withdrawing eight months after occupying the key southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, has been bombarding Ukraine’s key infrastructure with airstrikes in recent weeks.

On the 15th, Russia launched a large-scale airstrike against Ukraine, firing about 100 missiles in a stack.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russian airstrikes damaged more than half of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.
