Seubersdorf (Bayern) – There was a knife attack on the ICE train between Regensburg and Nuremberg around 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. Three people were seriously injured. BILD learned: The victims are three men (26, 39, 60).
Renate Kammann (77) was just standing in the aisle when she heard the screams of the other passengers: “They shouted, ‘There’s a knife man. Everything backwards’. They almost knocked me out.”
Ludwig Faust (68) was also on the train, says: “We heard the screams. People came running out of car 4. I wanted to know what’s going on when suddenly I saw a man on the ground. Luckily the police got there very quickly.”
The knife attacker was arrested at the scene. According to BILD information , it is the 27-year-old Syrian Abdalrahman A. He is said to have had mental problems and called for help on the train. He is said to have entered Germany in 2014 and been a recognized refugee.

Police operation in Passau
Meanwhile there was a larger police operation in Passau. That said a police spokesman for the German Press Agency.

Around 300 passengers sat in the ICE from Regensburg to Hamburg. Luckily, two platoons of the support command (special forces of the Bavarian police ) were on their way to the football game in Regensburg and in the immediate vicinity at the time of the crime.
The passengers evacuated from the train are currently being looked after in a hall near the Seubersdorf train station in the Neumarkt district in der Oberpfalz, a spokesman said on Saturday afternoon.

Bavaria’s Interior Minister Joachim Herrmann (65, CSU) also commented on the knife attack. Herrmann to BILD: “I am shocked by the terrible knife attack that happened today on the ICE to Hamburg.
