The results showed that consumption of soy as much as 8 grams for 8 weeks can reduce levels of HbA1c (hemoglobin bound to glucose), total cholesterol, and insulin resistance.

Popcorn as a diabetes snack is best cooked on the stove in olive or canola oil without added butter or flavours.
3. Boiled eggs
A study published in the British Journal of Nutrition looked at the effects of egg consumption on diabetic patients.
A total of 65 patients with type 2 diabetes were asked to eat two eggs every day for 12 weeks.
The results showed that the patients experienced a decrease in fasting blood sugar levels and lower HbA1c.
