VIVARing the planet Saturn is iconic in Solar system. Saturn is one of the planets that have rings. Other planets that also have rings are Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. However, the rings on the three planets do not really look like the rings on the planet Saturn.

According to kidadl.com, Saturn is one of the ringed planets whose rings can be seen from Earth only with a telescope. The sixth planet in our Solar System is Saturn.

Saturn’s planetary rings are named after their distance from the planet. The innermost ring is ring D. It is a very faint ring followed by ring C, ring B, Cassini Division, ring A, ring F, ring G, and finally, ring E.

Here are the facts about the ring planet Saturnus adapted from various sources.

1. The Formation and History of the Ring of the Planet Saturn

The rings of the planet Saturn were first observed by Galileo Galilee. He observed that there was a flat ring around Saturn. Reported by kidadl.com, Galileo Galileo saw the rings through his telescope and thought they were solid bodies orbiting around the planets, but later realized that these objects couldn’t be planets because their orbits were too large for anything else at such a distance from Earth.
