Dozens of employees of PT Bank Permata Tbk tested positive for the Corona virus (COVID-19) after undergoing a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) swab test at Permata Bank tower Bintaro, South Tangerang.

1. All are Positive OTG Patients

Bank Permata management said that all those who tested positive for COVID-19 were asymptomatic patients (OTG).

“The results of the last examination showed that of the approximately 2,333 permanent and outsourced employees at the Bintaro tower who tested positive for COVID-19 and had the status of OTG (People Without Symptoms),” said Bank Permata President Director Ridha DM Wirakusumah in his official statement detikcom, Monday (28/9/2020).

2. 50% of permanent employees

Permata Bank employees who are negative for COVID-19 are confirmed to continue working at the office with a maximum of 50% of their normal capacity. Thus, the Bank Permata Tower in Bintaro, which is the site for the PCR Swab Test, continues to operate as usual by regularly spraying disinfectants.

This is because, according to Bank Permata’s Head of Corporate Affairs Richele Maramis, banks are one of the sectors that are allowed to operate during the pandemic considering their role which is also quite essential for the community.

“After disinfecting, it operates with a maximum capacity of 50% as usual. Keep in mind that a bank is an essential facility so it must continue to operate by maintaining the protocol,” said Richele to detikcom, Monday (28/9/2020).

Meanwhile, those who are positive for COVID-19 are asked to self-isolate until the results are negative.

“Several other steps were taken as a follow-up to these findings, such as contact tracing, independent isolation for exposed employees, as well as regulating Bank operations to maintain the health and safety of employees and customers,” he explained.

3. Customers are asked to switch to M-Banking

In order to prevent transmission, customers are urged to start switching to mobile banking transactions.
