25,000 Bulgarians will celebrate Independence in Greece. This is what the director of the Institute for Analyzes and Evaluations in Tourism Rumen Draganov predicted to “Telegraph”. 8,000 Bulgarians are expected to head to Turkey, with many celebrating in neighboring Serbia over the three-day Independence Day weekend. Then Saturday, Sunday and Monday are collected as days off for the holiday. According to Draganov, there will be a lot of travel in the country as well, which is why traffic jams on the highways and traffic jams at the borders are expected.
Those heading to Greece will enjoy good weather.
The beginning of September marks the end of the active summer tourist season in our southern neighbor. Because of the proximity to Bulgaria and because of the favorable climate, sea experiences can be extended by at least another month, month and a half. Our compatriots take advantage of the warm weather, as there is often no problem for a beach until mid-October. Moreover, more and more Bulgarians own properties there and this gives them the opportunity to jump to Greece very often.
