3 days of fiery hell along the Rhodope ridge to Greece, the three locals …

For three days, a fire has been burning on the ridge of the Rhodopes, on the border with Greece, near the village of Kirkovo. At the moment the fire is only in Greek territory, but there is the possibility that it will also spread in Bulgarian territory. The locals in front of “Maritsa” have raised the alarm about this. They fear that the extinguishing of the flames will continue for a long time and that, despite the intervention of the fire brigade, the fire will not subside.

Aviation equipment is involved in the extinction. More than 10 flights were made to extinguish the disaster.

Two days ago the fire spread to the native territory in the area of ​​the village of Gorno Kapinovo. Then the growth was stopped. Firefighters and forestry authorities are on duty to prevent the flames from spreading again.

Fortunately, there is no wind at the moment and the situation is calm, but constant monitoring is carried out just in case.
