Article 2 of the law that grants certain concessions to Egyptians residing abroad, which includes the exemption from taxes and customs of the cars of Egyptians abroad, establishes 3 conditions for obtaining such a car, and the article states that it is necessary that the Egyptian who wishes to benefit from the provisions of this law must pay the amount in cash stipulated in article (1) of this law, as follows:
1. Must have a valid legal residency outside the country.
2. Be at least 16 years old.
3. To have a bank account abroad open for at least three months.
An exception to this condition is made for the spouse of an Egyptian residing abroad and for their children, if available to them

While the third article establishes: “A motor vehicle imported by a person other than the first owner, in accordance with the provisions of this law, it is required that its age, on the date of entry into force of its provisions, does not exceed three years from the year of manufacture.
