Three climbers from Jarambah QC Tasikmalaya community were reported to have lost contact on Mount Balease, North Luwu Regency (Lutra), South Suawesi (Sulsel). A SAR team has now been deployed to carry out the search.
“The Basarnas Team and the SAR Potential have been moving since Friday, from the North Luwu Alert Unit with local agencies,” Makassar Basarnas Public Relations Officer Fajri Mursalim told DetikSulsel, Sunday (24/11/2024).
The three climbers initially planned a trip between November 6 and November 19 on Mount Balease, Bone District, but did not make it to the end of the trip. The three climbers were identified as Tantan Triana Putra (56), Maman Perdana (48), and Yudiana (46).

“Until the expedition planning period ended, the 3 climbers had not arrived,” Fajri said.
Fajri said the investigation process was still continuing today. He said his party had sent an additional team to help search for victims.
“Last Saturday we sent an additional team from the Makassar Basarnas Office to help with the investigation,” he explained.
