The team-of-the-season event in FIFA 21 is bringing tons of strong cards to Ultimate Team that are quite expensive. But there are also some interesting bargains.
This is the TOTS: In the Team of the Season, players are equipped with greatly improved cards that are intended to reflect their strong performances during the season. Most of these cards are some of the best in the game, but are correspondingly expensive. Absolutely top cards such as Valverde or Alaba are priced close to the million in a range that is difficult for many players to reach. There are also some expensive cards in the Premier League TOTS.
The good thing about TOTS is that there are also strong cards for players who come from smaller leagues or who are harder to left. These cards are still extremely strong but only cost a fraction of what you would pay for the top players. We’ll take a closer look at three of them here.
Ricardo Santos
This is what makes Ricardo Santos strong: At first glance, the card doesn’t look that great. It has an overall rating of 85 and only costs 15,000 coins. In addition, Ricardo Santos plays in EFL League Two for the Bolton Wanderers. So it’s not exactly easy to left – is it?

One advantage is that Ricardo Santos comes from Portugal and therefore fits in with players like Bruno Fernandes, Cristiano Ronaldo, Joao Cancelo or Ricardo Pereira. They are very good players.
And then there is the exact look at the values. Santos has his greatest weakness when shooting with a value of 46. That is admittedly pretty terrible and probably pulls the map down. On the other hand, you don’t necessarily need good shot values for a central defender.
But Santos has great values in pace, defense and physique, which is much more relevant. Among other things, he has a strength of 99, also a 99 for agility in the dribbling area and 95 for reactions. If you then add a shadow chemistry style, the result is basically a perfect central defender. And that for 15,000 coins.
Danjuma Groeneveld
This is what makes Danjuma Groeneveld strong: Groeneveld is in the English second division and plays for AFC Bournemouth. Similar to Ricardo Santos, that should play a role in why the left midfielder is cheaper.

In addition, there is another value that pulls the average down – namely the defensive value. But here, too, this is relatively uninteresting. Because you don’t need Groeneveld to defend yourself.
Rather, you should use your strengths in pace and dribbling to the full and simply overrun opposing defenders on the wing. His shot and pass values are also good, so that you can start something with the ball as soon as you have reached the opposing goal. With 4 stars on skills and weak feet, Danjuma Groeneveld is also sufficiently flexible. With a Marksman style you can further strengthen his already good offensive stats.
That leaves the question of links. But for the Dutchman there are a lot of good players, such as the special cards from Sinkgraven, Klaiber, Robben, Fer or Huntelaar. You could really be in a worse position there. Groeneveld costs around 30,000 coins.
Odsonne Edouard
This is what makes Odsonne Edouard strong: Edouard is in the Scottish Premiership – also an unusual league. As a Frenchman, however, he also gets clearly enough links, so you don’t have to worry.

And the values are also worthy of a strong TOTS card. A pace of 94, dribbling in the 90s and shot values in the high 80s, including a degree of 95. The striker has everything on the offensive and also has four stars twice. When it comes to physics, he convinces with 91 stamina and 90 strength.
In short: As a striker, you can use Edouard without hesitation, in terms of values he can at least keep up with significantly more expensive cards. Edouard currently costs around 42,500 coins.
