Kolam : Kollam East three accused including mother and daughter allegedly extorted money by offering work abroad

were arrested. Eight and a half lakh rupees were stolen by the accused. The scam said that the young man and his relatives from Neendakara can get a visa to the UK in the period from August 2021 to August 2023. Arinallur native Baluji Nath, Perumpuzha Yamuna Sadanam Anitha Kumari and her daughter Aswathi brought the money together.
The fraud took place under the auspices of a foreign recruitment company run by Balu and Aswathi at Kollam Taluk Junction, who had bought eight and a half lakh rupees several times. Those who did not get the visa came to the institution but the accused refused to return the money. Then a complaint was sent to the Eastern Police. During the investigation carried out by the police team, the accused was identified but could not be arrested. The accused, who had gone into hiding, was arrested today from Kallampalam, Thiruvananthapuram. The investigation for the second accused in the case, Venu, is going on. The police are also investigating whether the accused committed more fraud in the same way.
