The attackers legalized foreigners from Africa and the Middle East, registering them as “students”.
An illegal scheme for the legalization of foreigners was exposed in Ukraine. About it informs SBU on Monday, October 18.
The cybercriminals managed to legalize about 3.5 thousand people from countries with a high terrorist risk in Ukraine. To cover up their activities, the attackers set up a number of firms to recruit foreign students. However, instead of studying, the “clients” used this channel for further legalization in Ukraine or as a transit point to the EU countries. Moreover, most of the foreigners came from Africa and the Middle East.
A number of searches were carried out in Kiev and Dnipro, computers, communications equipment and electronic media were seized; documents (including about 3500 “personal files” of foreigners); seals of contactee firms and significant amounts of cash.
Now criminal proceedings have been opened under the article on the creation or assistance of a terrorist organization.
Recall that earlier in Transcarpathia detained illegal immigrants from three countries… At the sight of danger, the guide of illegal immigrants left his wetsuits, left his “wards” and disappeared.
It was also reported that in Poland detained a Ukrainian who transported illegal immigrants… The Ukrainian transported illegal migrants in a van belonging to a well-known courier company.
