With an increase of more than 100 people from the previous day, the number rose to 400 again in four days after the 12th (403).
Especially during the Lunar New Year holidays, family and acquaintance gatherings and travel increased amid large-scale population movement, and from the previous day, social distancing (Seoul Metropolitan Area Phase 2, Non-Metropolitan Area Phase 1.5) was eased by one stage, and entertainment facilities such as clubs and collate were allowed. There are concerns that the number of confirmed cases may increase due to increased risk factors.
The government plans to adjust the level of quarantine management while monitoring patient trends over the next two weeks.

The Central Defense Countermeasure Headquarters (Bang Dae-bon) announced that as of 0 o’clock on the day, the number of new corona 19 confirmed cases in Korea increased by 457, accumulating 84,325.

The metropolitan area, including 155 people in Seoul, 129 people in Gyeonggi, and 19 people in Incheon, accounted for 70.6% of all confirmed cases. It is only 5 days since the 11th (383) that the number of confirmed cases in the metropolitan area recorded 300.
In the non-metropolitan area, there were 58 people from Chungnam, 17 people from Busan, 11 people from Daegu, 7 people from Ulsan and Chungbuk, 6 people from Gyeongnam, 5 people from Jeonbuk, 4 people from Daejeon and Gangwon, 2 people from Gwangju, Gyeongbuk, Jeonnam, and 1 from Jeju. . In a major new infection case, 53 people were diagnosed with a cricket boiler manufacturing plant in Asan, Chungcheongnam-do.
In addition, a total of 20 people from the day and night protection center in Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do and Pocheon-si manufacturers, and 6 out of 8 people having family gatherings on New Year’s Day in Busan were positive.

The number of deaths increased by 7 from the previous day to a cumulative 1,534, and the domestic average fatality rate was 1.82%.
The number of patients with severe gastric disorders increased by 10 from the previous day to a total of 166.
The number of tests performed at the screening clinic the previous day was 5630, which is 27,000 more than 2,774 the previous day.
The positive rate, calculated as compared to the number of tests the previous day, was 0.90% (457 out of 5630), down from 1.51% (344 out of 2,774) on the previous day. The cumulative positive rate as of 0 o’clock on this day is 1.36% (84,325 out of 62,13,490).
Meanwhile, Bang Dae-bon excluded one from the cumulative number of confirmed cases the day before as a miscalculation in Seoul was discovered late.
