Ron Schallenberg scored for the SCP from nearly 20 meters (19 minutes) after a header from Rostock’s Frederic Ananou fell at the feet of the visiting captain. The hosts seemed overall rather passive in the first round. After the change of field, however, Hansa has raised the pace without doing anything countable. Paderborn, however, failed to take advantage of a majority situation with Marvin Pieringer and Robert Leipertz for 2-0 (76th). Shortly thereafter, Leipertz increased on the counterattack until the decisive second goal (80 minutes). With Pieringer’s 3: 0 everything was clear (88th) – after the course of the match a slightly too clear SCP victory.
Eintracht Braunschweig – FC St. Pauli 2: 1 (0: 0)
Eintracht Braunschweig took FC St. Pauli even further down the table with a last-minute victory. Substitute Immanuel Pherai scored in the fourth minute of added time of the famous 2-1 (0-0) win for Lower Saxony. As a result, Braunschweig moved up to 11th place and overtook Hamburg, who are now 13th by one point less. Eintracht became dangerous with a direct free-kick from Brian Behrendt, blocked by St. Pauli goalkeeper Nikola Vasilj (34 ‘). In the first half, Hamburg did not have a real chance to score. After the second half, BTSV striker Anthony Ujah ran free towards Vasilj, but only hit the post in the far corner (55th).
